Pape Matar Sarr scored his first career Spurs goal and Lisandro Martinez scored an own goal on a Ben Davies shot
Tottenham Hotspur secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against Manchester United in the Premier League, with second-half goals from Pape Sarr and substitute Ben Davies. Sarr, returning for Oliver Skipp after a 2-2 draw with Brentford, struck the post with a deflected cross before halftime, and then scored by steering in Dejan Kulusevski's rebounded delivery early in the second half. Although Antony hit the post for United and Bruno Fernandes missed a close-range header, they were denied a penalty for a handball incident involving Cristian Romero after a VAR review. In the final minutes, Davies capitalized on a seamless team move, converting Ivan Perisic's cross to seal the win for Ange Postecoglou's side.
